Permanent Boom For Long-Term Debris Control
The Permanent Containment Boom is a heavy-duty floating barrier designed to control aquatic plants, debris, and litter long-term. Our permanent containment boom products are highly effective in controlling, containing, or excluding many forms of floating debris. This debris boom also presents significant cost savings due to its long field-use life. Permanent booms last around six times longer in the field than other styles.
Our heavy-duty permanent boom can withstand extended use in many water areas. It is commonly used in marinas, ports, naval yards, repair areas, docks, and open ocean.
Permanent Boom Technical Specifications
Our permanent containment boom is constructed from fabric with high tensile strength, strong abrasion, and UV resistance. The permanent debris containment boom features a rugged PVC or urethane-coated polyester belting with a series of high-density polyethylene floats placed along the length of the belt. Floats are high impact and also provide the boom added support.
Permanent Debris Boom Maintenance
Once the permanent debris boom has been deployed and is collecting trash and debris, litter and debris can be removed by using trash skimmers, pumps, vacuum trailers, harvesters, or other similar products.
Permanent booms are an option for some locations needing extended use in a marine environment. This includes use with invasive aquatic plants, continuously polluted areas, areas that require extended protection, and beaches that experience excessive sargassum and seaweed influx.
