Replacing a Water Storage Tank

Temporary Water Storage with a Bladder Tank

Question on replacing a water storage tank. I'm with the NYS Office of General Services in Albany, drinking water bladder tanksNY. We are looking to take one of our elevated water storage tanks out of service at one of NY's correctional facilities. As an option we are looking at bladder tanks for temporary storage. For the volume of water required, we are looking at 3- 30,000 gallon tanks or 4 - 25,0000 gallon tanks. The tanks would have to be NSF 61 approved for potable water.

Answer: Thank you for contacting GEI Works with your inquiry. We have Collapsible Water Tanks that would be perfect for temporary storage while you are replacing your tank. Let me tell you a little about them.

All portable flexible collapsible tanks are well suited for demanding climates. Our most popular water tanks are our commercial grade portable pillow tanks and offer 5 years contact time for drinking water holding tanks. Water Storage Tank Capacity Options

To decide the capacity, give our tech team a call. Together you can discuss your specifications and storage space to determine what will work best and how we can accommodate you to meet the needs of your facility.

In general, all of our pillow tanks can be built in capacities anywhere from 1 to 210,000 gallons in size. This provides a lot of options for your type of storage, giving you several capacity options that could work.

When consider the correct capacity for your tank, another important factor to note is the amount of available space you have. Tanks are often quite large as they increase in capacity. Please make sure that the low profile tanks are the best option for your location. Higher tanks can be constructed on request to store water while you are replacing a water storage tank.

Additional Storage Options

Depending on your previous tank's damage, you may also consider placing the bladder tank directly into the old tank. Especially when dealing with old or leaking cisterns, collapsible tanks are often used to fit specifically inside these tanks. This allows them to act like a liner, providing repair to leaking parts without changing the shape.
