Alternative Silt Barrier Models

geotextile silt curtainPermeable Type 1 Silt Curtains are also available for areas that required constant filtration of silt and sediment. Geo curtains (shown right) are made entirely of 8 oz. nonwoven fabric and are almost always used in short term applications.

Load Carrying Components

Since Type 1 turbidity curtain models are designed specifically for calm water areas, the load carrying components for the curtain will typically be the base fabric (13 oz. or 18 oz. PVC) and the bottom ballast chain (3/16").
